June 9 – Completed the Assault on Mt. Mitchell on a tandem – really a hot day!
June 11 – 19 – Started our tour of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Single bikes with packs. Camped. South to north. Beautiful weather, rhodos, flame azalea and kalmia. It’s a whole different world living on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Already thinking about going back!
Great way to go! Maybe I can talk my wife into going with me. (I’m the guy who wrote the OTHER article about biking the BRP.)
Took 5 years and alot of extended weekends; however got my End to Ender certificate this year (North to South, including the Skyline Dr.). Most beautiful paved cyclist ride in the U.S.
