Virtual Blue Ridge At The 2008 ASU Spring Internship Fair

January 25th, 2008 Tanna Baumgardner Go to comments

As a 1999 graduate of Appalachian State University, I was very excited to be participating in the 2008 Internship Fair on the beautiful campus of App State.  Once we finished setting up, ambitious students strolled through the door in a constant stream.  I must admit I was pleased at student reactions when they found out they could not only learn a thing or two about computers, but they could also go out on the Blue Ridge Parkway as part of their internship as well.

After all, it’s what the Virtual Blue Ridge Team does!

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting each and everyone of those who took the time to visit our booth.  Your eagerness and smiling personalities really made the day fly by.  Thank you for your interest and participating in this year’s fair!

We had a giveaway this year for participants and the lucky winner is…

Blue Ridge Parkway Hat & Tee Combo Gift SetAndrew Huffman, a Computer Science major, has won a beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway Tee and Hat! On behalf of all of us here, I hope you enjoy wearing it on your adventures on the Parkway.  We would love to hear about your favorite moments visiting one of the most gorgeous places on Earth. And that goes for all of you! Please visit our contact page to share your journey or post a comment to this blog post.

Thanks again to all of you who participated and we will be in touch soon regarding our internships.

Happy Travels!
