On June 19th, 2008 six motorcycle riders started at Milepost 0. It was 5:45 am and we traveled end-to-end in one day. We arrived at Milepost 469 at 8:39 pm.
With the early start, we woke up the forrest and chased deer, turkey, and song birds off the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. Every rider thought the last 100 miles were the toughest, with a setting sun in our faces along with curved tunnels and energy stores near zero, when we arrived in Cherokee, the motel beds never felt so good.

IT WOULD TAKE ME MORE THAN A DAY TO SHARE WITH YOU WHAT YOU MISSED.
I WILL ONE WEEK DO THE 469 MILES ON MY MOTORCYCLE. GREAT PICTURE.
My chief ranger would be displeased with me if I didn’t comment. We do not recommend trying to do the whole Parkway in one swoop.
But since I am a guy, too, I know what it feels like to want to do something like this.
In fact, I am a little envious and wouln’t be any less tired.
The next time you do this, dinner is on me, if you take four days to enjoy yourself and the views!
